Self-Writing Vault

A self-writing vault is a markdown folder that an agent maintains on a schedule — ingesting notes, linking them, and filing new material under conventions in CLAUDE.md or similar briefs.

The vault stays a directory of .md files. The agent reads folder rules, writes or rewrites notes, and may run on cron or a Claude Code /loop. Patterns include Karpathy-style ingest/query/lint cycles and session-start hooks that inject prior context. The graph view still does not run the agent; the agent writes the files the graph later displays.
