Supabase Authentication

Overview

This skill provides authentication and user management operations through the Supabase Auth API. Supports email/password authentication, session management, user metadata, and password recovery.

Prerequisites

Required environment variables:

Common Operations

Sign Up - Create New User

Basic email/password signup:

Sign In - Authenticate User

Email/password login:

Response includes:

• access_token - JWT token for authenticated requests
• refresh_token - Token to get new access token when expired
• user - User object with id, email, metadata
• expires_in - Token expiration time in seconds

Get Current User

Retrieve user info with access token:

List All Users

Get all users (requires service role key):

How to use supabase-auth on Cursor

Prerequisites
Before installing skills in Cursor, ensure your development environment meets these requirements:
›Cursor installed and configured on your development machine
›Node.js version 16.0+ with npm package manager (verify with node --version)
›Active project directory or workspace where you want to add supabase-auth

Execute installation command
Execute the skills CLI command in your project's root directory to begin installation:
$npx skills add https://github.com/nice-wolf-studio/claude-code-supabase-skills --skill supabase-authcopy
The skills CLI fetches supabase-auth from GitHub repository nice-wolf-studio/claude-code-supabase-skills and configures it for Cursor.

Select Cursor when prompted
The CLI will show a list of available agents. Use arrow keys to navigate and space to select Cursor:

Verify installation
Confirm successful installation by checking the skill directory location:
.cursor/skills/supabase-auth
Reload or restart Cursor to activate supabase-auth. Access the skill through slash commands (e.g., /supabase-auth) or your agent's skill management interface.
