Announced September 29–30, 2026 at OpenAI DevDay, Decisions API focuses Luna on questions with pre-defined answers so an app can classify content, route a request, or pick an agent's next action. Official materials say callers can send text or images as context; Tibo described end-to-end decisions in less than a few hundred milliseconds. It is a limited preview for selected API customers, with broader release planned in the coming days. Pricing was not published as of September 30, 2026. It still uses an LLM (Luna) constrained to a choice set, unlike a System One model such as Jev that cannot generate free text.
