Announced by Cursor in June 2026 and rolled out in beta to paid users on August 17-18, 2026, Origin hosts repositories and pull requests directly inside Cursor while syncing in real time with GitHub as the source of truth for teams not ready to fully migrate. It integrates with Vercel, Buildkite, and Depot, and shipped as the first major Cursor product launch after SpaceX closed its $60 billion acquisition of Cursor (Anysphere).
